With the Ramadan fasting month ending this evening, you may have begun looking for halal restaurant options to dine with your loved ones. To make things easy for you, we’ve rounded up 10 restaurants in Singapore ahead that are children-friendly and halal-certified. Some of them include play areas with activities to entertain your kid to eateries with dedicated children’s menus.

The Halia

1/10

Located in the Ginger Garden of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, The Halia is the place to enjoy nature while dining. The children’s menu has four items to pick from – Beef Bolognaise Spaghettini, Grilled Chicken Sausage with Mashed Potato and Baked Beans, Crab Pasta Spaghettini and Cheeseburger made with beef.

Food aside, The Halia also introduced a new kids’ play area last November with activities including colouring and hand painting to entertain your little ones.

Ikea

3/10

Only available at the Tampines outlet, Ikea has the Småland play area. Themed after a magical forest, children can dive into a ball pit, read books and expand their imagination with colouring sheets. Once you’re done shopping in peace, bring your kids to refuel at the restaurant with Ikea’s iconic meatballs. Finally, Ikea also organises in-store activities and events from time to time for both adults and children alike.

The Royals Cafe

4/10

The Royals Cafe is known for two things – halal food and cakes. The former includes the Signature Mee Siam and bestseller Nasi Lemak while the latter ranges from American Carrot Cake and Ondeh Swiss Rolls to Sugee and Red Velvet Cake. We reckon the restaurant is a good place to enjoy a nice family meal for any special occasion.

Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro

Just because you aren’t travelling these school holidays yet doesn’t mean the entire family can’t enjoy a taste of being abroad with food. Located near Sultan Mosque, Fika is known for serving up halal Swedish savouries and sweets. The children’s menu has Swedish Meatballs, Macaroni Stew with Sausages, and Kids Linguine in a tomato-based minced beef sauce to pick from while desserts such as Apple Crumble Pie and Swedish Pancakes will be gladly relished by everyone.
