I’ve recently been hypnotised by those head spa ASMR videos while scrolling through TikTok. 

My scalp is begging for that deep-clean, scrub-till-you-drop treatment, but here’s the kicker: all the heavenly head spas seem to be in China or Vietnam. 

Of course, I’ve commented “TAKE MY MONEY!” on those TikTok head spa videos like everyone else — Thus, I’ve made it my personal mission to find these relaxing sessions across the border — in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to be exact. Here are the best ones I’ve found.

S_thetics Salon in JB Mount Austin offers a truly relaxing head spa experience, starting from just RM148 (S$44) for men and RM158 (S$46.97) for women. 

Prices for the female head spa varies based on hair length:
