As the vibrant season of Hari Raya approaches, many families will be prepping to cook up a storm. Though you can find halal products at regular supermarkets, there’s a whole world of halal supermarkets and specialty shops across the island to get your essentials from. From sumptuous meats for the perfect rendang to exotic spices for authentic kueh, these halal specialty supermarkets and butcheries in Singapore will set you up with everything you need for a fabulous feast. Plus, most of them offer delivery too, to save you time and effort!

Toko Warisan

This brand of stores specialises in halal frozen meats, convenience foods and imported products from Muslim countries, so you’ll find Middle Eastern dates and Malaysian and Indonesian pastes, sauces and snacks. It’s hard to compare prices as some of the brands they carry are quite different from those you find at mainstream supermarkets. Fazz Urban Farm

Fazz Urban Farm is a Singaporean-owned family business that started as a livestock farm in Yong Peng, Johore. In 2018, it opened two stalls at Bedok Reservoir Market, one for butchery and the other for frozen food items. Currently, its only store is at MarketPlace Simpang Bedok. 

Its meat is imported from Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay and Brazil. It also carries condiments, spices, beverages, and products imported from the Middle East. That’s not all. It provides a Korban and Aqiqah service for Singapore customers. The rites are carried out in Australia and the meats are shipped to Singapore for customer collection and distribution.

Suzy Ameer

Apart from everyday groceries, Suzy Ameer also specialises in halal frozen food, halal BBQ meats and pastes. Founded in 2011, it opens seven days a week, and has two physical stores, one at Century Square as well as at Buangkok, and an online store. Suzy Ameer also has a range of other halal grocery items like beverages, plus household items like cleaning products.

Delivery fees: Standard delivery of $10 ($75 to $98.90 spent), $12 (Below $29.90 to $74.90) and free delivery for orders over $99.

Where: Two outlets islandwide, in Buangkok and Tampines.

 

CS Foods

Perfect for festive events, CS Foods is an online halal butcher that sells not only halal meat, fish and poultry, but also finger foods like squid rings and sausages, dairy products like butter, and truffle products like truffle oil and truffle paste. They’ve also got discount bundle boxes of both fresh meat and cooked meals at promo prices. With Hari Raya approaching, it also has a Raya range of ready-to-eat options like halal bak kwa,  chicken rendang, and ayam goreng kunyit.

Their products are premium and can therefore lean on the pricey side.

The Meatery

The Meatery is the brainchild of husband and wife team Renga and Sophina. Finding it hard to get halal prime meat in Singapore supermarkets, they set up this halal gourmet butchery serving up cuts of premium imported meats, selected from ethical sources that don’t promote the use of antibiotics, GMOs, or growth hormones. Aficionados can indulge in premium beef selections including Australian Black Angus, Aus F1 Wagyu MS4/5 and Japanese A5/MBS10 Miyazaki Wagyu.

To make entertaining easy, it also offers services to bring out the best in your meat. These include a complimentary marination and meat rub service, and cutting and slicing your meat just how you want it for special dishes like yakiniku or shabu shabu. The custom BBQ Packages are also useful: based on your group’s size and preferences, they can recommend the right mix of halal meats (beef, lamb and chicken cuts) that are perfect for a barbeque with the option of marination, sous-vide and delivery for your convenience.

Adam's Meat

This family-owned business was founded in 1986, and originally named Adam Halal. The butchery serves prime Australian lamb and beef, with various cuts that run the gamut from ribeye and filet mignon to porterhouse and tomahawk. There’s also a limited range of chicken products. Value bundles are available, too.

There’s no retail outlet, but you can opt for self-collection at the Adam’ Meat Cold Store at 1 Kaki Bukit Road 1. Find out more here.

Delivery: Delivery fee of $13. $6.99 for orders above $150. Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before 12pm (scheduled between 2pm to 7pm).
