60 women who shaped Singapore

Singapore celebrates our 60th this year, and when we thought about how we wanted to fete this milestone, we knew telling the stories of the women who have shaped this nation was of utmost importance. Just as our country has evolved, so too have the roles, aspirations and achievements of Singaporeans.

From breaking barriers in male-dominated industries to redefining success on their own terms, remarkable Pioneers like Halimah Yacob and Paralympian champion Yip Pin Xiu have been first movers and shakers in their fields. Innovators such as Yvon Bock, CEO of Hegen and poet and educator Pooja Nansi have transformed their industries for good. Advocators like lawyer and disability advocate Chia Yong Yong and Jacqueline Loh, CEO of Aidha, continue to speak up and take action. We hope their stories inspire you with their tenacity and drive—not just in March during International Women’s Day, but all year round.

At Her World, our mission remains clear: to be Useful, Inspiring, Empowering. Special thanks to our brand partners Singtel and Shiseido for being part of this labour of love. Whether it’s addressing gender equality, celebrating trailblazers, or holding space for you—our community—we want to continue spotlighting stories that matter, advocate for meaningful change, and foster conversations that inspire action.

Cheers to shaping the future together!
