All of Prince Mateen and Anisha Rosnah’s Royal Wedding looks

Prince Abdul Mateen, the tenth child and fifth son of the Sultan of Brunei, is officially off the market and married to his beautiful bride, Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah.

With 10 days’ worth of celebrations, luxury, opulence and extravagance were at the forefront of the first royal wedding of 2024. From dazzling all-white garments and ceremonial suits, to intricate traditional headpieces and a magnificent tiara, the couple certainly dressed the part for a royal wedding.

Elegance for the Khatam Qur’an ceremony

The blushing bride looked radiant as ever in a custom-made baju kurung by Malaysian designer, Teh Firdaus, who specialises in bespoke bridalwear. The garment was made of Tenunan Brunei, which are traditional handwoven textiles typically worn on royal occasions by the bride and groom during marriage ceremonies. The Khatam Qur’an ceremony took place as a pre-wedding ritual, which involved the bride reading the entirety of the Holy Qur’an to reflect on the teachings of the sacred text. The Princess exuded grace and poise in the all-white ensemble with lace detailing and gem embellishments.

Extravagance for the Powdering Ceremony

The centuries old traditional event, Majlis Istiadat Berbedak, or the powdering ceremony, invited the bride-to-be and grooms’ families to bless the marriage with happiness and fertility by applying paste on the hands of the couple. Anisha Rosnah wore a magnificent all-red ensemble with a veil, which was later taken off to reveal a breathtaking traditional gold headpiece with intricate flower detailing.

Prince Mateen wore an all-red ensemble and donned traditional headwear. The highly decorated Prince had gold epaulettes and numerous medals indicative of his contributions to charitable, military and public service activities.

The bride later changed into another look by Teh Firdaus, an all-white dress featuring delicate lace detailing and a matching veil. Her natural beauty was highlighted with a slicked back hairstyle for the pre-wedding ritual.

Radiant jewels for the wedding

The newlyweds looked exquisite en route to their post-wedding parade to celebrate with the people of Brunei. The groom looked every bit the dashing prince with a gold ceremonial uniform, once again embellished with numerous honourable medals, while his new bride dazzled in an all-white, long-sleeved gown.

Her ensemble was complemented by a stunning 132-carat tiara crafted by Singapore jeweller, Flower Diamond, previously worn by Prince Mateen’s sister, Princess Azemah. Additionally, the tiara was matched with a phenomenal diamond necklace and earrings.

Ethereal attire for the reception party

For the couples’ reception party, the princess opted for an all-white long-sleeved gown adorned with dazzling details, which she paired with an ultra long veil. Walking arm-in-arm with the dapper prince, the scene looked straight out of a fairy tale.
