Here’s what to expect from the Lo & Behold Group’s new lifestyle destination, which is touted as Singapore’s first creative cluster

Taking over the former Nan Chiau High School at Kim Yam Road, New Bahru by hospitality giant the Lo & Behold Group is shaping up to be the hippest creative enclave since Pearl’s Hill Terrace. The New Bahru community will comprise players in the fields of F&B, design, fashion, fitness and art. Expect new-to-market concepts, expansions, relocations and the transformation of online ventures into brick-and-mortar experiences.

Tenants have progressively opened from this month and visitors can also look forward to installations, workshops and activities. Check out all the cool new tenants set to make New Bahru their home. 

F&B: Artichoke

What to expect: Artichoke, the new school mezze institution led by local culinary icon Bjorn Shen, has found its home at New Bahru. The relocation of this Middle Eastern restaurant from Middle Road brings the addition of a karak chai bar and minimart as well.

F&B: Atipico

What to expect: This atelier-style F&B concept by Matteo Pertoldi (pictured) is all about culinary craftsmanship and genuine conviviality. This is Atipico’s first midtown outpost, following its first outlet at West Coast Drive. Expect cakes and breads that are freshly made on a daily basis, as well as a selection of homemade granolas, jams, nuts and seed crackers.

F&B: Dearborn

What to expect: Dearborn, of granola fame, launches its first flagship store. The new store will feature a microbakery, breakfast provision shop and all-day breakfast cafe. Of course, the brand’s signature small-batch granola will be available for purchase as well.

Febbrile is the culinary mind behind Fico – an Italian restaurant at East Coast serving up sharing dishes like terrines, handmade pastas and the signature Focaccina.
