Born in Hong Kong in 1981, Fiona turns 37 on the 11 August. The singer-actress was thrust into the spotlight after signing a deal with Warner Music through her uncle, Peter Wong, a senior manager at Capital Artists. Best known for her turn as Natalie in the film “2 Young” that made $10 million in the box office, life hasn’t always been a bed of roses for the doe-eyed beauty.
In a revealing interview on the television programme “Joyful Athkii”, Fiona spoke to hosts Sammi Cheng and Lawrence Cheng about her battle with depression. She shared that she suffered from the condition back in 2008, when she hit a low in her career and relationship. Her depression caused her to lose more than 80 pounds (about 36kg) and even contemplate suicide. The singer-actress credits her good friend and fellow singer Khalil Fong for helping her turn her life around by encouraging her to seek help. After a year of rehabilitation, she finally returned to her former self. She recently wrapped her role in a television series that also stars Louis Koo and Jessica Hsuan with this little behind the scenes snap.

Hannah Quinlivan or Kun Ling may be a household name in Taiwan as a multi-hyphenated entertainer, but to the rest of the world, she is probably most famous for being the wife of Mando-pop superstar Jay Chou.
2018 will be a big year for the mixed-race model-actress-designer who will not only turn 25 but also make her Hollywood debut, starring alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Neve Campbell in the action thriller “Skyscrapper.”

Local actress Eelyn Kok who hits the big 4-0 this year entered the show business after joining the talent show “Route to Glamour” in 2001.
Although she did not win, she was offered an acting contract. Her latest acting gig was the television drama “Babies On Board” where she starred alongside Ben Yeo.

This South Korean actress’s agelessness has taken on legendary status. She barely seems to have aged a day since she rose to stardom in 2010 as a regular cast member of the popular variety show “Running Man.” If anything, Song Ji-hyo who turns 37 this year seems younger now.
2018 has been a busy year for the pretty actress who starred in the romantic comedy film “What a Man Wants” alongside Lee Sung-min, Shin Ha-Kyun and Lee Ei. She also co-hosted another beauty programme “Song Ji Hyo’s Beautiful Life” and was cast in the horror drama “Lovely Horribly” alongside Park Si-hoo.

Dubbed the “goddess who has frozen her age” by the Taiwanese media, interior designer Lure Hsu might just be the most youthful looking 42-year-old around.
As hard as it is to believe, Lure is not 18, but in her 40s. With her age-defying good looks, it's no wonder that Lure has become a social media, with over 700,000 followers on Instagram. Speaking to the Taiwanese media, Lure attributed her creaseless skin to applying moisture and sunblock religiously.

Here’s another famous face celebrating her birthday on the 16 August. Hong Kong singer G.E.M is known for her powerful voice and songwriting skills.
Like her stage name G.E.M which is an abbreviation for the phrase “Get People Moving,” she’s managed to get millions to move along with her music with over three million followers on Instagram. In 2016, the singer who turns 27 this year even made it to the prestigious Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for the music category.

The actor who turns 32 this year hasn’t always had a smooth sailing career. In 2007, he made his debut after coming in second place to Andie Chen in the television talent hunt Star Search. His first few roles were side characters that would always end up getting killed off.
Things started looking up for him after his breakout role in 2011, where he played a righteous rickshaw puller in the historical drama “A Song to Remember.” The part won him a “Rocket Award” at the Star Awards. In 2014, he also scored his first “Top 10 Most Popular Male Artist” award at the Star Awards. The last Star Awards also saw Desmond taking home the coveted “Best Actor” title for his army sergeant role in the drama “When Duty Calls.”

Veteran local actor Chen Hanwei’s life started out in humble circumstances. His adoptive maternal grandmother had bought him, from his birth mum for 2000 ringgit (about S$700 now). Speaking to the local media, Chen Han Wei recounted the days when a cup of ice was considered a luxury and his family of four would share one cup of the drink once a year.
Hanwei got his big break in 1988 after he emerged as a finalist in the first Star Search, Singapore’s bi-annual talent search. He catapulted to fame in 1995 after appearing as a teacher in the drama “The Morning Express.” The talented actor also showed off his singing chops when he recorded the theme songs for “The Morning Express” and “Cupid Love.” While we’re unsure about how the 49-year-old actor plans to mark the last one before the big 5-0, there is a high chance that he would be spending it abroad. The avid traveler was seen travelling to Okinawa, Australia and more recently Bhutan.

Another person blowing out his candles on the 29 August is hunky Hong Kong actor and singer-songwriter Nicholas Tse. Nicholas, who made his name starring in action films and singing Chinese pop songs, took the leap of faith and is currently focused on building up his culinary career.
The self-taught chef opened his eponymous bakery in 2015, “Chef Nic’s Cookies.” A big moment of recognition came in 27, when Nicholas was invited to join six chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants to prepare a gala dinner at the posh Grand Hyatt Hotel in Macau.The charismatic father-of-two turns 38 this year.

If you belong to the pre-Snapchat era, you would probably remember Wong Li Lin as Inspector Elaine Tay from the local police drama “Triple Nine” which ran from 1995 to 1999.
The mother-of-two who wears many hats has also been a professional ballerina, pilates instructor, the boss of a media start-up, and a deputy director at a medical firm. She recently stepped down from her role as executive director of the Public Hygiene Council (PHC). She turns 46 this year.
