Best of 2024: The men we can’t stop thinking about

This year, a dazzling lineup of 24 men has captured our attention (and our affections) with their charisma, talent, and undeniable allure. From rising actors to seasoned athletes, these gentlemen have made their mark across film, sports, music, and fashion. 

Ahead, a roundup of all the men we couldn’t stop thinking about in 2024 (and who are no doubt staying on our minds well into 2025).

1. Drew Starkey

Best known for his role as Rafe Cameron in the hit Netflix series Outer Banks, Starkey has garnered attention for not just his good looks, but his intense and complex portrayal of Rafe, the older brother of Sarah Cameron in the show. After all, what’s hotter than an angry, troubled young man?

2. Charles Leclerc

A Ferrari driver with a touch of old-school charm, Charles blends elite athleticism with a boy-next-door allure that’s simply irresistible. Hard to miss in the F1 Grand Prix, he is considered one of the sport’s most promising (and attractive) talents.

3. Glen Powell

Following his role in Top Gun: Maverick (2022), Powell brought his undeniable charm to the forefront this year in Anyone But You, a highly anticipated rom-com with Sydney Sweeney.

4. Bright Vachirawit

Thai sensation, actor, singer and model, Bright can do it all. This year, he didn’t just star in new films and series, he also debuted with a Calvin Klein campaign and was the first-ever Thai male celebrity to attend the Met Gala.

5. Blue Pongtiwan

Blue was the lead character in two Thai TV series this year, adorable rom-coms that showed off his charisma and charm. He was also appointed as Thailand’s first male Friend of Swarovski.

6. Theo James

Most commonly known for his role as Four in the three-movie Divergent series, Theo James returned in 2024 as the main character in the Netflix series, The Gentlemen. His cool demeanor, accompanied with his comedic timing is all too appealing. 

7. Justin Baldoni

Baldoni, standing tall at 6’ 2”, has had us with his Italian charm ever since his Jane the Virgin days. This year, he delighted fans once again with his appearance in It Ends with Us. However, rumour has it that he is being sued for sexual harassment on set — a truly disappointing turn of events.

8. Mingyu

South Korean singer and rapper from the popular K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN, Ming Yu’s kind-hearted and energetic nature has earned him the title of the group’s “puppy.” He also starred in a sexy Calvin Klein campaign and was appointed as a global ambassador for Dior.

9. Mondo Duplantis

Swedish pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis clinched the gold medal at this year’s Paris Olympics, breaking the world record for the ninth time with a 6.25-meter jump. The adorable video of him sprinting to his girlfriend immediately after his landing had gone viral on Tiktok and the beautiful couple is now engaged.

10. DPR Ian

DPR Ian (aka Christian Yu) is a singer-songwriter, producer, and director from Australia. His lyrics often delve into deeply personal themes, such as mental health and self-discovery, resonating with fans on an emotional level. With his effortless style and attractively inked body, it’s no wonder that he has girls fawning over him.

11. Nicholas Galitzine

The up and coming British singer and actor has been catching our eye recently. With his charming accent and appearance in The Idea of You, alongside Anne Hathaway, he portrayed a compelling romance between a 24-year-old man and 40-year-old woman.

12. Cha Eun-Woo

Another Korean heartthrob, Cha Eun-Woo, made his solo mini-album debut this year, embarked on his first solo fan concert tour and has also starred in a few dramas as well. Not to forget, he was named brand ambassador for several luxury brands, including Dior, Burberry, and Calvin Klein. 

13. Tom Daley

British Diver Tom Daley made a remarkable return to the diving platform at the Paris Olympics this year, securing a silver medal. After the competitions, the diver, alongside the equally hot Great Britain diving team, went viral with a rooftop dance to Charli XCX’s Apple, in their tiny speedos

14. Lando Noris

Lando Norris, who’s also yet another F1 hottie, secured his first Formula 1 win at the Miami Grand Prix this season. At just 25 years old, he has been blowing up on TikTok due to his undeniable charm, laid-back banker and witty comments.

15. Timothee Chalamet

With his highly anticipated return as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two, we were reminded once again why we love Timothee so much. Not to forget — his status as a fashion icon and new ‘stache moment. 

16. Jay Park

The Korean-American singer Jay Park released his first R&B album in eight years, featuring collaborations with notable artists like Ty Dolla $ign, YG, and P-Lo. He also shocked fans when he created an OnlyFans account this June, (though it was strictly to promote his single McNasty)

17. Rain

In 2024, Rain made a major comeback with his Still Raining tour, his first solo concert in South Korea after nine years and a return to US stages after nearly 15 years. The best part? We also had the opportunity to see him here, in Singapore, at the Waterbomb Festival.

18. Rudy Pankow

The internet’s favourite bad boy with a golden heart starred in another season of Outer Banks this year. But what really got us melting was his fun-loving personality and quirky social media posts.

19. Lucien Laviscount

Lucien Laviscount stole hearts yet again in Emily in Paris this year, making us all question Emily’s decision to dump Alfie. With his dreamy smile, impeccable suits, and extremely attractive accent, fans flooded TikTok with “Justice for Alfie” edits.

20. Darren Barnet

Best known for his role as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in Never Have I Ever, a high school heartthrob with unexpected depth, he has become one of the girls’ favourites. This year, he also starred alongside Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell in the romantic comedy Anyone But You.

21. Jeremy White

Arguably the hottest campaign this year, White had everyone talking this year with his steamy Calvin Klein campaign. We can’t explain it but his brooding intensity and perfectly toned physique practically “broke” TikTok.

22. Shawn Mendes

After a two-year hiatus from music, Mendes made a return this year with his new album, Shawn, reminding us why exactly we missed him so much

23. The Kid LAROI

The Kid LAROI had an incredible 2024, dominating playlists worldwide. But what really stole our hearts was his adorable relationship with his girlfriend Tate McRae. Their playful TikTok moments, like dancing to each other’s songs and sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of their life, made him the sweetest boyfriend.

24. Ran Takahashi

A Japanese volleyball player with some British and German blood, Ran Takahashi is a perfect example of how mixed men are such irresistible packages. His team scored the bronze medal this Paris Olympics but it’s his wholesome interviews that have us fawning over him.
