Since the coronavirus crisis swept through the globe last year, many fashion brands had to rethink the way it does things. With the lockdowns and restrictions placed on large social gatherings, fashion shows around the world were brought to a standstill. And if you know by now, they usually form an integral part of the fashion industry. But this time, brands like Louis Vuitton have taken things up a notch with its first-ever fashion show — where physical meets digital — that's starting to regain a new cadence.
The first of its kind in South Asia, the Louis Vuitton Women's Spring Summer 2021 Spin-off Show was proudly held on our little red dot at the ArtScience Museum. Augmenting both virtual and physical elements, the "phygital" show brings about a new and unique well-rounded experience like never before.
Drawing inspiration from Wim Wenders’ iconic movie “Wings of Desire” (1987), a romantic fantasy film, the venue was decked with green screens that form the scenography for the show. Here, Louis Vuitton Women’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière presented the luxury label's Spring-Summer 2021 collection and the debut of the Summer 2021 capsule collection.
Despite a new location, the brand managed to wrangle up a slew of stars and influencers for its front-row including the likes of Stefanie Sun, Zoe Tay, Rebecca Lim, and Willabelle Ong, who showed up in some of the most dazzling outfits.
Here, we've rounded up some of the most stunning celebrity and influencer looks from Louis Vuitton's Women's Spring Summer 2021 show in Singapore below.
Considering how she's always been spotted in colourful outfits on the 'Gram, actress Zoe Tay opted for an all-black ensemble for the Louis Vuitton SS21 show.
Rebecca Lim opts for a bold graphic shirt that's tucked into a solid black wide-leg trouser — paired with a thick Louis Vuitton belt to cinch her look in at the waist.
Black is just so easy to wear, and the shade is always stylish, if a little safe. But Constance Lau managed to jazz up her look with a Louis Vuitton bag that we're currently head over heels for. Talk about the perfect summer accessory!
Iman Fandi showed up in a full Louis Vuitton outfit and it's safe to say that she definitely rocked her bold look.
If there's anything we can't keep our eyes off, is Mae Tan's Louis Vuitton Coussin PM. She pulled off the look with a white cropped shirt and a bold pair of bermudas that shows off her midriff.
Could this be the most eye-catching outfit of the night? Joanne Peh's look was definitely a strong contender. The actress stole the limelight with an outfit that featured a Louis Vuitton bikini on the inside, along with a cropped boxy blazer.
Since her last fashion show that she attended almost 10 years ago, Stefanie Sun made a rare and special appearance at the Louis Vuitton SS21 show this week. The star was spotted in a black suit jacket, a striped T-shirt and a pair of silver jacquard trousers. Of course, we couldn't help but to notice that she still looks fresh and chic, especially with her freshly new 'do.
Local actress, Chantalle Ng's idea of a simple going-out look is pretty on point for the Louis Vuitton SS21 Show where she was spotted with a draped top and short skirt.
While many guests were spotted in an all-black ensemble at the event, Jessica Liu, stunned in an all-white outfit that's simply phenomenal. She cinches her look with a white belt and a one handle bag from Louis Vuitton that's totally apt for the occasion.
Possibly one of our favourite looks from the night, peep Willabelle Ong's unique outfit at the Louis Vuitton SS21 show. Opting for a more muted palette, Willabelle was spotted wearing a knitted sweater, a long trenchcoat and a pair of leather pants.
