The house of Chanel turned to its founder’s favorite blossom for inspiration

After its foray into the world of watchmaking about three decades ago, the luxury house brand showed no signs of slowing down with its ever-growing range of timepieces. Some of these watches have become memorable and distinct investment pieces that we've kept in our capsule collection. For instance, the Code Coco, J12, Première, Mademoiselle Privé and the list goes on. But this time 'round the fashion powerhouse has launched not one, but two timepieces from its collection that's got us swooning. Enter the Première Extrait De Camélia.
The latest arm candy draws inspiration from its founder’s favourite blossom, the camelia. The flower is known as one of the most recognisable symbols within the brand and serves as a talisman for Gabrielle Coco herself. Blend it together and you'll get an impeccable timepiece. Here, the camellia is featured on the House's watchmaking and jewellery creations: the Première watch and the Extrait de Camélia charms ring.
Arriving in two slick variations, the Première watch is a force to be reckoned with. Constructed with an 18k yellow gold case and titanium case back, the shape of the watch takes after the iconic Chanel No.5 fragrance, with its octagonal silhouette.
But what's different about the two timepieces would have to be its dials. For those who prefer a darker palette, the first Première watch from the collection boasts a minimalistic black lacquer dial. However, the latter, on the other hand, is perfect for those who prefer a little more bling to their wrists. Here, you'll notice 116 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.37 carats on its dial.
Both of these pieces come with a black leather strap with a velvety touch, an 18k yellow gold ardillon buckle and more notably, it's accessorised with coordinating 18-karat gold camellia charm set with one brilliant-cut diamond.
Not to mention, both of the Première watches operate on high precision quartz movement, and are water-resistant of up to 30 metres.
However, if you're keen on getting your hands on them, you should be aware that they are limited to 1,000 pieces,.
Aside from the watches, the fashion powerhouse has also released its very won charm ring to complement your look. Enter the Extrait de Camélia charm ring. The ring, inspired by the House's iconic flower, the camellia, takes on a unique designthat features two camellia buds embellished with a charm in the shape of the flower itself. It also comes with an adorable charm on the side of the ring for a more playful take.
The Chanel Première Extrait de Camélia watches and Extrait de Camélia Charms ring are available at the Chanel Watches and Fine Jewellery boutique and Chanel Fashion Boutiques. Prices range from $9,500 to $19,500.
