Ladies, your boyfriend may have been waiting patiently - or not, depending on the man -  while you shop at In Good Company’s Ion store. Now, your man can shop for himself too, thanks to creative director and co-designer Sven Tan, who has just introduced the fashion brand’s debut menswear collection.

The designs, which include a range of essentials like shirts and trousers boasting contemporary cuts, are an extension of the simple aesthetic that In Good Company has become synonymous with. Starting a menswear collection that retains the brand’s signature style means Sven had to think from a different perspective.  

“As womenswear designers, we’ve always embraced classic design with a twist,” says Sven. “But bringing subtlety into menswear requires a different precision. In terms of getting the right proportion and shape, every centimetre matters in the cut. Too much and the style appears ‘off’, too little and the design becomes pedestrian. It’s a challenging balance that is less obvious in womenswear, but a standout trait in our interpretations of a relevant and modern City wardrobe,” he says.
