Cheese tea bakery Nayuki is opening in Vivocity this December

Fruit-blended teas meet cute pastries at tea concept store and cafe Nayuki. Originating from Shenzhen, the fruit teas are made using fresh fruit and premium quality teas. The brand now owns over 100 stores across 14 cities in China.

Nayuki will be coming over to Singapore under a joint venture with BreadTalk Group. Fruit teas aside, we’ve got our eyes on the milk teas and cheese teas (a frothy layer of cheese atop the drink like a macchiato).

Not that the local scene is lacking in any way. You can already count on LiHO, Heetea and Kurotaki Chabann's range of cheese tea creations to satisfy your curiosity and cravings.

But we're always game to try something new. Nayuki's signature beverage is the Supreme Cheese Strawberry tea, which goes with the strawberry fresh cream bread. The buns are baked in true Taiwanese style, hence they're soft and sweet. One for chocolate lovers is the Oreo chocolate fresh cream bread.

For something clean-tasting and refreshing, there’s a variety of cold-brew teas. The loose tea leaves are steeped for eight hours, then chilled so that it’s cool when served. Sort of like cold-brew coffee, the process relies on time rather than a hot temperature to encapsulate the tea leaves flavours.

The Alison Mountain Dew tea in particular is brewed from tea buds that are handpicked before sunrise when the leaves are still covered in morning dew. Something about retaining a hint of sweetness. They are then roasted at a low temperature for 40 hours to bring out its floral scent.

The cup lids are said to be shaped to prevent lipstick stains on the cup. Well we’re about to find out for ourselves soon.
