Her feline-like eyes, jaw-dropping dance moves and powerful vocals are just a few reasons why she is one of South Korea’s rising K-pop stars to date. But Jennie’s road to stardom was not as breezy as you’d believe.

Starting her music career at the young age of 14, she remained a trainee for six long years under one of Seoul’s entertainment moguls, YG Entertainment, before finally debuting as one of four members in girl group, BLACKPINK in 2016.

We have to say, her patience paid off as the group gained recognition that same year, with songs like Boombayah (2016), Whistle (2016) and Playing With Fire (2016) topping the music charts of both South Korea and America.
