From ride-sharing to mobile GrabPay services, and even to GrabFood, the transport company has now launched its new physical GrabPay Card - Asia’s very first numberless card.

Powered by Mastercard, the card boasts unprecedented card security while still giving users the benefits of Grab’s extensive rewards system.

The GrabPay Cards will be rolled out in batches, and customers can apply for the physical card after activating their digital GrabPay Cards through the Grab app.

No Digit Card

The card’s most outstanding feature has got to be the fact that it is completely numberless, both on the front and the back. This revolutionary design (or lack thereof) allows users to go completely incognito irl, to combat very real security concerns and completely eliminate the chance of theft of personal and financial information.

No fear though, all card details can still be accessed via your trusty Grab app. In the unfortunate event that you lose your card (we feel you, sis), an in-app PIN-protected feature allows you to lock your card to immediately suspend payments.

Mobile, E-commerce and Flight Delay Protection

And of course, we’re all about getting those benefits. Paying your monthly mobile bill via the GrabPay Card entitles you to mobile protection insurance for your phone (Theft who? Accidental damage who? We aren’t afraid of you anymore).

With the same principle, making your online shopping purchases with the GrabPay Card gives you E-commerce protection, so you never need to wait anxiously at your door for an incomplete delivery, or give defective products a second glance. Too good to be true? Well, there’s more.

Using your GrabPay Card to pay for flights entitles you flight delay passes for two flights per year, which allows you - should your flight be delayed for over two hours - to kick your feet up and relax at over 1,000 airport lounges across 100 countries.

Worldwide Usage

After hopping on that flight, your GrabPay Card can be used to make purchases overseas with any merchant that accepts Mastercard cards. Foreign exchange rates are reflected in the app; and as per usual, each purchase earns you GrabRewards points. For a limited time, as part of its launch promotion, the GrabPay Card gives users up to 10x GrabRewards points per dollar spent, which can be used to redeem GrabRewards offers throughout Southeast Asia.

Samsung users rejoice, as the GrabPay Card can be linked to their Samsung Pay wallet.
