Gritty glam hair

The mussed-up hair spotted at Saint Laurent is basically second-day bed head, brushed out just enough to look nonchalant but expensive. It’s essential that you start with glossy, healthy hair, or it’ll just look unkempt. This look is also best worn with sharp, tailored threads for the ideal juxtaposition.

70s shag cuts

At Celine, most models walked down the runway with long, loose waves. A couple also sported chunky bangs and shaggy layer that were oh-so-vintage. If your hair isn’t naturally wavy, you can achieve these waves with a 32mm curling wand.

Feathered fringe

No, we’re not talking about the super popular Korean see-through bangs or chic French Girl Fringe here. Dries Van Noten took the term “feathered fringe” literally by attaching ostrich feathers, dyed in a variety of colours, to models’ fringes.

Glossy, tousled manes

Rich Girl Hair saw plenty of representation at Rochas, where some models wore their artfully tousled long hair parted down the middle, with just a touch of wave to keep things interesting. Of course, hair has to be glossy, so be sure to invest in a shine spray if you’re attempting this look.

Hairline Dutch braids

Instead of regular Dutch braids, models at Dior were seen with braids along and down the hairline. To add texture and hold to the braid, use hairspray and texture powder. Pull out bits from the braid to avoid looking too “Little House on the Prairie”.

1940s updos

At Chloé, a few models sported eye-catching, romantic 1940s inspired updos, complete with soft, sweeping waves. Others wore their hair curly, or in a half-up do. This look requires plenty of hold, so break out the heavy-duty hairspray and get spritzing. We recommend checking out vintage hair tutorials on Youtube to get a hang of things.

Wet-look locks

To get this piece-y, textured wet-look style, start with dry hair. Then, use a shine serum, starting from the roots, and add definition with hair wax. Finish off by pulling your hair into a half-updo or ponytail. The look is evocative of a walk through the rainstorm – casual, manageable, and a great way to get started on the wet-hair trend.

Ultra-deep side parts

At Loewe, ultra-deep side parts were de rigeur. Hair is slicked down to the head, with no room for frizz. To get this look, use a flat iron to get rid of any waves in your hair. Spritz a bit of hairspray on the flat side of a rat tail comb and use it to smooth down any flyaways.
