7 Halal buffets to break fast in Singapore this Ramadan

There’s plenty to sink your teeth into at halal-certified buffet restaurant Window on the Park at Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. This year, the restaurant is doling out a slew of nearly 40 varieties of Asian, Arabic, and international options for its Santapan Ramadan buffet menu.

Plates like Ayam Bakar Sambal Kicap, Seafood Hor Fun, and Udang Masak Lemak Nanas will please those who prefer traditional dishes, alongside the likes of Lamb Chop Rendang Kerisik Sauce, Soto Ayam Soup and Mee Rebus. There’ll also be Western-style highlights like Turkish Lamb Stew with Ocra and Wok Fried Garlic Nai Bai.

Leave some space for Ramadan-centric sweet treats like pengat pisang (a banana and coconut dessert) with sago, Um Ali (Arabic Bread Butter Pudding), and assorted local cookies and kuehs.

Fill your belly with the likes of various seafood, mezze, fresh sashimi, tandoori, chicken rice, and even Korean fare like kimchi fried rice and bulgogi chicken.

From the rotiserrie, there’s roast slow-roasted ribeye and roasted chicken. On Fridays and Saturdays, there’s snow crab legs on the menu, too.

Dessert-wise, you can look forward to the Carousel Candy Cart that’s loaded with treats such as lemon meringue tarts, profiteroles and eclairs. Or make your way to the ice cream parlour with delish flavours from Thai milk to tea to red velvet cake.
