10 times K-pop star CL of 2NE1 gave us life with these fierce beauty looks

Since bursting onto the K-pop scene a decade ago as part of mega girl group 2NE1, CL has established herself as a prolific rapper and songwriter.

​A regular at the biggest events and fashion weeks, CL is also often on celebrity best-dressed lists, solidifying her status as a fashion icon.

Often sporting her signature kohl-rimmed eyes and frequently-changing hair colour, it is no wonder she’s also a beauty icon in her native Korea as well as internationally.

As she makes her return to Singapore on 25 August for the Waterbomb Festival this year, we take a look at her best beauty looks:

1. Signature kohl-rimmed eyes

Almost never seen without her signature kohl-rimmed eyes, CL rocks a smoky version with a pink lip for a super sexy, come-hither effect.

2. Bold colours

Spice things up by using a pop of colour to line the under eyes. Here, CL went for a crimson red shade that’s dramatic and flirty.

3. Fluttery lashes 

Those signature lashes of CL are always a must when you’re donning a smoky eye look.

4. Nude lips

We love red lipsticks, but pairing a dramatic eye look with just-bitten nude lips may be your best bet if you’re thinking about going casual.

5. Max glamour with black eyeshadow

CL’s spotted yet again with her signature kohl-rimmed eyes but this time, she made sure to blend some black eyeshadow around the liner for maximum glam.

6. Apply mascara on your lower lashes

Since CL’s eyes are her main focus, try applying some mascara to your bottom lashes. Doing so helps to give the illusion of bigger eyes and it also helps to blend the rest of your eye makeup so it doesn’t look too heavy on the top.
