Since her debut in South Korea as the main dancer of girl group BLACKPINK, Lisa, whose real name is Lalisa Manobal, has skyrocketed in popularity and amassed a loyal following. Her solo releases “LALISA”, “Money”, and “Rockstar” have been met with widespread success, and now, the idol is set to make her acting debut in the third season of the HBO television series, The White Lotus.

At the season three premiere at Paramount Studios on 10 February in Los Angeles, California, the singer and rapper stole the spotlight in a sparkling gown while holding a literal white lotus. Set in Thailand, where Lisa was born, season three of The White Lotus sees her portraying a resort employee, Mook. In the show’s official trailer, Lisa donned the hotel staff uniform and greeted guests with a cheery “Sawasdee ka. Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, ka.”

In the lead-up to the season three premiere, HBO dropped a teaser of one of Lisa’s looks in the TV series, which saw the idol actress in a traditional Thai costume.

Her new song, “Born Again”, in collaboration with Doja Cat and Raye, was featured in the TV series’ trailer before its official release in full by her self-established entertainment company, LLOUD.

At the premiere in Los Angeles, Lisa graced the red carpet in a custom gown from Miss Sohee’s spring/summer 2024 collection. Inspired by a white lotus, the top half of the gown featured exquisite pearls resembling water droplets, while the flowing yellow skirt showed off Lisa’s elegant, feminine charm.

Shedding her dreamy red carpet look, Lisa proceeded to don a bold Schiaparelli dress from the Maison’s fall/winter 2024 collection at the afterparty, where she partied with the likes of Paris Hilton. Turning heads once again in all her sculptural glory, Lisa made her statement loud and clear in a body-hugging dress that flaunted her expressive style.

On 14 February, Lisa and the rest of the star-studded cast including Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Dom Hetraku, alongside show creator Mike White, appeared at the Thailand premiere held at ICONSIAM, Bangkok.

Draped in a custom Louis Vuitton outfit inspired by the pink lotus flower, Lisa walked the red carpet exuding her regal beauty — her look pays homage to the Thai meaning behind the pink lotus flower, wisdom and purity.

At the afterparty held at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, Lisa wore a yellow strapless minidress accentuated with a silver sash. Her deliberate posing saw her dress blending in with the background of a lotus, showing off her expertise in working the stage.
