New series update

The Run Like Hell series (working title) is well underway. I had a cryptic update about it a few weeks ago, then mullethon hit. After checking out my front page after all was said and done I realized I had like 17 pictures of myself up there, and barely any artwork. Blagh. Here’s a look at the progress on the series I’m currently working on. I’m juggling three of them as well as various commissions right now and it’s slow going.

Here’s a quick look at three of the new pieces.

This one is forming from a love with Powell Peralta in the mid 80’s. Jim Phillips and the Big Slime Ball wheels and the yellows and pinks and Doroty Stratten on rollerskates. What could be more 80’s? Besides my ex-hair.

This one is an oil paint version of a digital piece I did that I called “Hell on Earth”. Here’s the only interesting bit on the canvas so far. The rest is blacked out.

And here of course is the digital version.

And the homage to Accept and other old metal bands that I favor over anything that’s come out in the past 15 years.

And just for kicks here’s a kareoke version of Loverboy’s “Hot Girls in Love” that cracked me up. You probably won’t laugh at it if you don’t already know the song. Hell, you probably won’t laugh at it regardless.

I’m off to paint.
