Here’s why you’d need to visit Patek Philippe’s Watch Art Grand Exhibition

An exhibition that displays historical timepieces and its Swiss expertise in horology, the highly anticipated Patek Philippe’s Watch Art Grand Exhibition is finally hitting our shores. Singapore is the fifth city to see this gallery come to life, after big cities like New York, London, Munich and Dubai.

Comprising of ten themed rooms that spans 1800 metres square, this exhibit carries a few important complications from Patek Philippe’s archival collections, such as the Grandmaster Chime (pictured above) — the most complicated watch created by the Swiss watch manufacture yet. It is nestled in its Grand Complications room.

Key rooms to visit include the Museum room and the Current Collections room. The former holds 100 exhibits from the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as Patek’s first ever wristwatch circa 1868 (pictured above). The latter houses contemporary key models, such as Perpetual Calendar and World Time watches.

Audio guides will be provided for visitors at the start of the tour for those who wishes to know more information of each watch.

Free to the public, the exhibition is located at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands and will run from now till Oct 13. Opens 10am to 7pm on Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm on Friday & Saturday. Last entry is one hour before closing.
