It’s the start of a new year and if you’re planning to start bingeing on a new show, then you’re in luck. This month, your favourite streaming platforms have just released a slate of new and exciting titles and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start on something new while we sink into our couches and laze through the weekend. Whether you’re streaming it on Netflix, Disney+ or Viu, ahead, we’ve gathered all the new shows that you should keep a lookout for this January.
After years of steering clear of advertisers and breaking some of the country’s biggest, most controversial stories, the Trigger investigative news team is now facing its toughest challenge yet. Their careers are on the line after airing an exceptionally contentious story, and with the clock ticking, they have one last shot to turn things around. To save their jobs, they must pull off the impossible: unmask the insider leaking their personal secrets and solve a 20-year-old cold case about a famous actor who vanished without a trace. The show sees the likes of Kim Hyesoo as tenacious presenter Oh Soryong, Jung Sungil who plays the role of the rookie producer Han Do, and Joo Jonghyuk as contractor Kang Giho.
Unmasked is set to premiere on Disney+ on 15 January
While exploring the shadowy depths of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonizers stumbles upon a terrifying life form like nothing they’ve ever imagined. Trapped aboard a station crawling with deadly, unstoppable creatures, they must summon every ounce of courage—and fight for their lives—to find a way out.
Alien: Romulus is now on Disney+
Twins Cece and Devin Brewer head to Gravesend, Brooklyn, to spend the summer with their divorced dad. Goosebumps: The Vanishing will premiere on Disney+ on 10 January
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve binged on our favourite reality dating series, Single’s Inferno. But now that we’re in 2025, Netflix is treating us to a new season of its hit dating show that’s set to debut on January 14th.
For those new to the show, here’s the setup: 12 singles are brought to a secluded island with one goal in mind—finding a partner. But it’s not that simple. To escape to “Paradise”—a luxurious getaway where sparks can truly fly—they’ll need to couple up. The ultimate hope? To turn their island connections into something real back in the world beyond.
Before the renewal was officially announced, the producers of Single’s Inferno hinted to Korea JoongAng Daily that the new season might feature another surprising format twist—similar to Season 3’s unexpected two Infernos twist.
Single’s Inferno will premiere on Netflix on 14 January
From two different worlds and with separate missions, an astronaut and a space tourist entangle in space — only to start falling for each other. The show will feature actors including Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin.

Brewing Love is now on Viu
The film tells the story of North Korean Sergeant Kyu-nam (Lee Je-hoon), whose dream of defecting to the South is derailed when he’s caught stopping his fellow soldier, Dong-hyuk (Hong Xa-bin), from making an escape. Facing execution for his actions, Kyu-nam’s fate takes an unexpected twist when State Security Major Hyun-sang (Koo Kyo-hwan), an old acquaintance, spares him—only to frame him as a hero who captured a deserter.
While Hyun-sang manipulates Kyu-nam as a pawn to secure his own ambitions, Kyu-nam remains resolute, determined to find a way across the border and finally live life on his own terms.
