As part of Budget 2025, every Singaporean household will receive $800 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers to help with rising costs. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced on 18 Feb that the first $500 in vouchers will be available in May 2025, with the remaining $300 disbursed in January 2026.

Just like previous CDC vouchers, half can be used at participating supermarkets, while the other half can be spent at heartland merchants and hawkers. If you’re wondering where to put your vouchers to good use, why not support some of Singapore’s heritage businesses

Here are seven long-standing local gems where you can redeem your CDC vouchers while experiencing a slice of Singapore’s history.

1. Teck Soon Medical Hall - Go-to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
