As they say, the devil is in the details, and this year’s Star Awards manicures are no different. Many celebs (Ya Hui, Charmaine Sheh and Rebecca Lim) have gone back to basics, embracing the minimal “clean girl” look, while others (like Chantalle Ng and Tasha Low) took the opportunity to go bold. Ahead, here are some of the best manicure designs from Star Awards 2024. Bookmark this page ahead of your next nail appointment.

Hazelle Teo

1/12

Hazelle dazzled on the red carpet, sporting a gem-encrusted bustier, sparkly jewellery from Yadanar Gems and jewel tone cat-eye mani to match.

Ann Kok

2/12

Bagging the All-Time Favourite Artiste award calls for an incredible celebratory manicure. The veteran actress dressed up her digits with a silver base and dozens of shiny embellishments, which complemented her sequin number perfectly.

Ya Hui

3/12

The “My One and Only” star allowed her rose gold Tiffany & Co. jewellery and woven ankle-grazing dress to take centre stage by opting for a minimalist glazed manicure.

Charmaine Sheh

4/12

Another star who got the “clean girl” mani memo? Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh. The star who presented a trophy at this year’s ceremony demonstrated how well this glazed style translates on longer, square-tips nails.

Felicia Chin

5/12

Putting the “red nail theory” to the test, Felicia turned heads on the red carpet with her burgundy matte nails (designed by The Nail Status) and slinky, glittery gown.

Chan Ning

6/12

You can’t go wrong with a timeless French manicure. Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste winner and radio jock Chan Ning’s polished manicure proves just that.

Chantalle Ng

7/12

Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste winner and Best Actress nominee Chantalle is always up for experimenting with bold looks, and that extends to her nails too. To match the occasion, she went for vibrant elongated, coffin nails in a candy colour palette with 3D embellishments strategically placed atop.

Tasha Low

8/12

The “Little Nyonya” star’s futuristic mani is worthy of its own award. She wore long nails bathed in a milky hue and adorned with acrylic teardrops.

Kiki Lim

9/12

“Strike Gold” leading lady Kiki wowed us with her intricate manicure. Created by Nail Bliss, her stiletto nails were painted a silver chrome shade and featured a mix of zebra print and lettered nail art.

Rui En

10/12

At first glance, Rui En’s emerald French tips seem understated and low-key. But her salon Nail Bliss put a unique twist on the classic manicure style by adding subtle Y2K swirling flames.

Rebecca Lim

11/12

The new mum was a vision of elegance, arriving on the Star Awards red carpet in a flowy lime green dress. Her nails – buffed and filed into a short rounded shape – acted as a subtle, but glamorous finishing touch to her look.

Evelyn Tan

12/12

Nail artist Rebecca Chuang (@theflutterytips) dressed up Evelyn’s neutral mani with a smattering of rhinestones that play off the radio jock’s diamante gown.
