In the blink of an eye, October is here. And while we may have a few plans coming up for Halloween, we can also expect a slew of exciting events coming our way. From family-friendly events like illumi Singapore that’s lighting up the Bay Front Event Space, to new store openings and of course Oktoberfest, you’ll never have to worry about running out of things to do over the weekend.

Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Walk 2024 (26 October)
Join the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) this October in honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the iconic Pink Ribbon Walk. Happening on Saturday, 26 October at 5:30 PM at Marina Barrage, this year’s walk offers participants the choice between a 3km or 5km route.
More than just a walk, this year’s event celebrates the resilience of breast cancer survivors and their families, while empowering the community with vital knowledge about breast health and the importance of early detection. For the first time, the Pink Ribbon Walk will be held in the evening, adding a festive touch with carnival-style activities and fringe events, making it an inspiring and uplifting experience for all.

Great Eastern Women’s Run 2024 (27 October)
The Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR) is back for its 18th edition this weekend, bringing together over 12,000 women for an empowering day of fitness and solidarity. Among the participants will be beneficiaries from Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT) and the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), supported by the fundraising efforts of Great Eastern’s employees and Financial Representatives. This year’s event offers something for everyone, with categories like the 2KM Mummy + Me run, the 100M Princess Dash, and longer distances including the 5km, 10km, and 21.1km races, promising an exciting and inclusive experience for all participants.

HIGHHOUSE: Vertigore - Highhouse Of Horrors (26 and 30 October)
You may be familiar with HighHouse’s upscale lounge setting and decadent cocktails, but this Halloween, the floors of HighHouse will be transformed into hell where danger lurks at unexpected corners for those who dare. Set to send chills down your spine, HighHouse will be transforming its private dining room area into tortured chambers – the perfect setting for photo-taking opportunities and guessing games that punish failed attempts with a shot of Volcan tequila. Held in partnership with Armand De Brignac, guests can expect a night of House and Techno led by XTVA and Shaun Nocturnals on Saturday, 26 October, while 30th October features Hip-hop mavens DJ Tang and DJ Kong. There will also be champagne and tequila bottle promotions, bundles of three bottles, as well as signature cocktails to fuel yourself up throughout the night. Those who are feeling a little more peckish can order HighHouse’s Fried Platter for a trio of Tom Yum Fries, Ayam Goreng and Octopus Karaage, or indulge in the elevated Indonesian-Style Noodles that are sure to delight your taste buds.

NOVA: Vertigore - Afterlife At Nova (26 and 30 October)
NOVA invites you to transcend into the Afterlife, at Singapore’s highest sky bar. Perched on top of One Raffles Place, guests can toast their escape with glasses of rosé wines served by angels, with bottle bundles and food platters for groups to share. On 26 October, local music scene veterans LENERD and Zushan will be churning out tunes from genres like Bass House, Trap and Techno, just to name a few, while Fantastic Dinosaur and industry veteran Fred E, will be playing some of your favourite guilty pleasures and yesteryear’s smash hits on 30 October.

Chupitos: Beetle Jooze Halloween Celebration (26 October)
Chupitos will be having its Halloween extravaganza on the 26th of October. Held in collaboration with Patron, the Beetlejuice-inspired event will feature a captivating atmosphere filled with Creepy Crawly cocktails and Bugged Out shots, as well as live band performances, and a DJ spinning late into the night to set the mood for a night of revelry. Not for the faint-hearted, guests can look forward to some of the most unique tipples including its cocktails and shots that are garnished with real insects, such as grasshoppers and crickets. But if you’re not into creepy crawlies, you can also look forward to Patrón Twin cocktail promotions where you can get a single glass for $18, or twin glasses for $30 that’s available this month and November.

CE LA VI: Cirque Le Soir (26 October)
London’s award-winning Cirque Le Soir will be coming to Ce La Vi on Saturday, 26 October. Known for its stellar performances, here you can expect some of the most impressive acts including fire-eaters, eccentric contortionists, and captivating burlesque dancers and aerial artists who will be performing throughout the night alongside Ce La Vi’s resident DJs.

Madison’s and MOGĀ: Halloween Mega Brunch (27 October)
Inspired by the popular show, The Addams Family, Madison’s & MOGĀ will be hosting a themed Halloween lunch on Sunday, 27 October. To kickstart your feast, Madison’s will be offering its wide selection of hot dishes such as live station delights, which includes Roasted Yellow Chicken, Black Angus Striploin, signature “Pulled”-Man Pork, an array of artisanal cheeses, salads, and charcuterie offerings, and premium seafood.
It doesn’t end there. In fact, at MOGĀ, the feast continues with their wide selection of dishes including a Roasted Pork Belly station, fresh selections of sashimi, and Japanese side dishes. To end the spooktacular festivities on a sweet note, be sure to dig into the Halloween treats where you can expect desserts like the Chocolate Fondue and a Gelato Trolley.

Brix @ Grand Hyatt Singapore: Back from the Dead Party – Hollywood Edition (25 and 26 October)
Grand Hyatt Singapore will be hosting its first Halloween party since its reopening. Held at Brix, in collaboration with Bacardi, the Halloween party will be taking place on Friday and Saturday and is inspired by Hollywood, where guests are invited to dress up as some of their favourite late Hollywood Kings and Queens of music as they party the night away with GRAVITY, the venue’s headlining live band. What’s more, there will also be professional make-up artists at BRIX to touch up everyone’s glam and the ‘Best Dressed’ winner will walk away with a Bacardi bottle of their choice.

ATLAS: ‘Let The Ghoul Times Roll’ (26 October)
ATLAS Chronicles Volume 3, in collaboration with the Singapore Food Festival, is set to host a thrilling Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, 26 October. Expect delicious cocktails, mouth-watering bites, and live DJ performances to keep you dancing all night long. And what’s Halloween without a bit of flair? Guests are encouraged to show up in their best ‘80s horror-inspired costumes, paying homage to iconic films like Carrie, Thriller, Beetlejuice, and The Shining.

Haw Ror Villa 3 (18, 19, 25 and 26 October)
If you’re spooked by the sheer thought of visiting Haw Par Villa, then you’ll be thrilled to know that things are going to get really freaky for the next two weekends leading up to Halloween. Putting a fun twist to its name, Haw Ror Villa 3 is a Halloween event which sees three spine-tingling zones promising new experiences for those seeking some adventure. At Zone 1, guests will be invited to test their abilities to stay calm and solve puzzles at the Hell’s Museum Escape Room. Moving on to Zone 2, guests will be going around the park on a guided tour where they will be tasked to solve a notorious murder mystery at Haw Par Villa. At Zone 3, guests can relax and peruse the bazaar where you can expect artisans selling their Halloween-themed wares, as well as exciting themed food and drink options.
While you’re already at Har Par Villa, be sure to check out The National Library Board (NLB)‘s first horror-themed Node, called StoryGen (Horror Edition). Powered by an AI Generative prototype jointly produced by NLB and Amazon Web Services, the Node offers an immersive journey that weaves together multi-sensorial elements.
Reminiscent of Goosebump’s “choose your own adventure” style books, visitors can put their own spin on three local horror and three classic stories by customising a diverse range of elements such as location, characters and ending. After they do so, they can enter a multi-sensorial experience to read their personalised story. Visitors will also be able to access a curated list of horror stories with NLB’s eReads on the NLB Mobile app. While Haw Ror Villa is ticketed, StoryGen (Horror Edition) is free entry, but only open to those aged 15 and above.

Halloween Night Luge (18, 19, 25, 26 October, and 1 to 2 November)
In the spirit of the spooky season, Skyline Luge Singapore dares you to take on the darkness as you race down haunted tracks. Get ready for heart-pounding twists and turns, but watch out—hidden figures might leap out just when you think you’re safe.

Oktoberfest: Cosford Container Park (1 to 31 October)
It’s that time of year again—Oktoberfest is back! This month-long celebration at Cosford Container Park is all about eating, drinking, and embracing the festive spirit. Enjoy hearty sausage platters, exciting beer promotions, and join in on traditional Oktoberfest games with fantastic prizes up for grabs. Plus, don’t miss the special Oktoberfest weekend market on 19 and 20 October, where you can find a bevvy of specially curated items as well as other Oktoberfest activities and workshops that you can join in on the fun.

Casetify first standalone studio in Singapore
Casetify Studio has just opened its first standalone studio in Singapore. Located at ION Orchard (Basement 3), the new store houses its comprehensive range of tech accessories including phone cases, phone straps, AirPod cases, and more.
At the new brick-and-mortar store, fans can also expect to see some of Casetify’s latest collaborations including the ones with Mofusand, Sonny Angel, and more.

Halloween Horror Nights 4 (27 September to 2 November)
Are you ready to face your fears? Halloween Horror Nights 4 returns this year with an exciting lineup of new haunted houses, scare zones and live performances for you to enjoy this October. Starting this week to 2 November, Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa is bringing back the spookfest with its 12th edition of Halloween Horror Nights. Expect haunted houses inspired by local tales like Singapore’s Most Haunted: The Killings, or be spooked by the ghoulish characters from Netflix’s popular Korean zombie series, Sweet Home. On top of that, there will also be a haunted house, called Under the Castle by Team Wang design – the luxury streetwear label founded by pop star Jackson Wang – that’s sure to send chills down your spine.

The World of Studio Ghibli (4 October 2024 to 2 February 2025)
Step into the World of Studio Ghibli at ArtScience Museum. Immerse yourself in the magical worlds of Studio Ghibli, where your favourite characters from films like My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004), come to life.
The main highlights of the event include 16 large-scale theatrical sets that will transport visitors into iconic scenes of the movies – from waiting in the rain with Totoro and entering Howl’s Moving Castle to hopping on a train with No-Face. With interactive art installations and hands-on activities, you’ll not only experience the magic of these films but also dive deeper into the creative genius behind Studio Ghibli’s extraordinary characters and stories.
But that’s not all. At the end of the exhibition, fans can also check out the retail shop to get their hands on exclusive Studio Ghibli merch that’s designed specifically for this exhibition at the ArtScience Museum.

Underground: The Summoning (25 September to 3 November)
Calling all horror fans and thrill-seekers. If you’re looking for new ideas on what to do this Halloween, look no further. Set in the 12,000 sq. ft. Battlebox bunker beneath Fort Canning, Underground: The Summoning, Singapore’s largest immersive horror experience, offers you the opportunity to dive into a chilling world of demonic rituals and soldiers, brought to life with live performances and special effects.

Illumi Singapore (13 September to 8 December)
The world’s largest light, sound, and multimedia event of its kind, illuma Singapore is set to dazzle Singapore from 13 September. Held at the Bayfront Event Space, the night event will feature a slew of larger-than-life structures and innovative light installations including a winter wonderland-inspired zone called Wall of Lights, and adorable spaces like the Puppies and Kitties, a themed world that will see over 200 illuminated animal structures.
Speaking of pets, starting on October 13, for every second Sunday of the month, event-goers can also bring their furry friends to the event!

Howl-O-Ween Night (19 to 20 October)
Speaking of Halloween, pawrents can also bring their little fur friends for a fun day out at Funan Mall’s Howl-O-Ween Night that’s happening from 19 to 20 October. Teaming up with Hope For Animals and Pawfuration, the event is held on the mall’s rooftop, where you can expect a slew of exciting agility games for your little furry friends to compete in, fun workshops or enjoy a moonlit picnic under the stars with your furkids.

UltraLuxe 2024 (4 October to 13 October)

Happening from 4 October to 13 October, the 10-day festival will be showcasing some of the finest jewellery pieces from over 120 world-class jewellery, fashion, spirits, watches, leisure and living style brands from around the globe.

CÉ LA VI Sky High Brunch (12 October)
Boozy brunch with the girls? You’re in for a real treat. CE LA VI is hosting its last Sky High Brunch of the year this Saturday!
