Sip on special sustainable cocktails

Flor De Caña's annual Sustainable Cocktail Challenge returns this year. The initiative, which aims to promote sustainable practices within the bar industry and educate consumers for a greener future, invites bars from around the globe to create sustainable cocktails using the decadent Flor De Caña 12 from 1st to 31st July 2023.

You can take a peek (and taste) these cocktails in Singapore, where tropical contenders like Night Hawk, Kafe Utu, Gibson Bar and more will showcase their innovative creations as part of the challenge.

Gibson Bar's Summer’s Peak is a refreshing tipple made with pickling juice from pickling watermelon rinds and watermelon syrup in a cordial with Sakekasu, a by-product of sake production. Night Hawk's Sunrise Hereafter takes a spicier approach, infusing mango seeds in a green chilli liqueur for a mango-centric cocktail served with mango chips and dip.

The Ubuntu’s Harvest from Kafe Utu begins with a delightful plantain peel simple syrup, infused with a blend of sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom. A dash of homemade coffee tincture, crafted from discarded coffee grounds sourced from African producers and infused with FDC Extra Seco for 2 days, adds a refined caffeine kick to this tropical sipper.
