Things to do in Singapore this weekend: 3 to 5 May

Things are heating up in Singapore this May. For this weekend, you can look forward to the return of LIV Golf, which will take place in Sentosa from 3 to 5 May. Aside from the ongoing golf tournaments, the event will also see a slew of electrifying events including performances by American singer, songwriter, and record producer, Lauv as well as DJ sets from dance music superstar, Alok that will be happening over at Palawan Green, situated along Palawan Beach, just a short distance from Sentosa Golf Club.
Aside from that, Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis, a multi-concept pop-up, will be making its debut this weekend. Taking over the ground floor of 66 Kampong Bugis, the pop-up will see a round-up of 5 brands including The Goodburger, Quattro Pizza, Meatsmith, Backyard Bakers and a new British concept, Carnaby.

Coming to the National Stadium, HSBC SVNS will be bringing a unique festival of sport, music, food, fitness and immersive experiences to Singapore. Aside from the exhilarating rugby matches – featuring the world's top 12 men's and 12 women's rugby sevens teams, including powerhouse nations like the New Zealand All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens, double men’s Olympic champions Fiji, Samoa, Australia, Canada, Argentina, Great Britain and the USA – the three-day event will also see a lineup of activities and energetic live DJ sets for you to enjoy at the all-day beach club located in the heart of the stadium.

It's been less than a year since the star took over the Indoor Stadium last September, but this time, Lauv is back to perform at the annual LIV Golf event, happening at Palawan Green, Sentosa on Saturday, 4 May. For the unacquainted, the star made his debut in the music scene in 2015 with his viral track “The Other,” swiftly followed by the breakout hit “I Like Me Better,” which garnered over one billion global streams on Spotify and achieved sextuple-platinum status in the U.S. and platinum status in 12 other countries. Recently, the singer also released a new single titled "Potential" which he might be performing on his 75-minute set here in Singapore, as he concludes the festivities on day two of LIV Golf Singapore.
