If you haven’t already heard, Trifecta Singapore, the long-awaited sports attraction at Somerset, has finally opened its doors this month. Spanning 49,611 square feet, the new space located at Orchard Road is the first attraction in Asia to house three action sports arenas under one roof. Some of the activities that you can expect include skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding. In line with its launch festival that will be happening over the month of November, Trifecta will also be hosting an event this weekend from 4 to 5 November. Titled 'This is BS!', the event will see a mix of surfsnow skate jams, DJ takeovers, community art exhibitions and an art market.

On the flip side, another establishment has also opened its doors recently, and it's none other than Changi Airport Terminal 2. As part of its new look, the terminal now sees new features including a 14m tall waterfall display, the first-ever Funko pop-up in Southeast Asia, as well as other retail options.

Gone are the days when you need to travel overseas to fulfil your need for adrenaline. Over at the newly opened Trifecta Singapore, you’ll be able to satisfy your wanderlust and ski the “slopes” in the snow arena, that’s powered by the first virtual reality (VR) ski simulator in Asia with the help of the best-in-class speed simulation and directional movements that help to mimic the uneven terrain of a natural mountain. Aside from snowboarding, the facility also houses a surf arena for you to ride the waves and a hybrid skate bowl that’s designed for skateboarding and surfskating.

In celebration of its launch, Trifecta will also be organising a string of events over the next few weeks. For instance, this weekend, they will be hosting its second launch fest weekender with their first-ever surf, snow, skate jams. Guests can book their surf and freestyle jam slots, or chill, skate and hang at Trifecta's Skate Pool Party which is free for all to join. The party will also be accompanied by DJ takeovers, community art exhibitions, as well as an art market.

At the new terminal guests can expect to see the digital waterfall display, known as The Wonderfall, which stands 14m high and 17m wide – a centrepiece at the departure hall. In the departure transit area after immigration sits Dreamscape, a new garden set against the backdrop of a digital “sky” ceiling emulating real-time weather conditions outside the terminal. On top of that, you can expect to find the first Funko pop-up in Southeast Asia, a new Lotte Duty-Free Wines and Spirits store that's equipped with a robot bartender and a liquor-tasting lounge located in the transit area, and not to mention, Jones The Grocer in the departure hall that's slated to open later in 2023.
