As International Women's Day approaches on 8 March, get ready for a week filled with empowering events tailored for you and your girlfriends. For instance, Wallich Manor will be hosting a lineup of award-winning female bartenders from Asia’s 50 Best Bars from 5 March to 8 March, of which you can expect specially curated libations by talented mixologists. Meanwhile, homegrown label XVXII Jewellery will be hosting its annual Violet Fair, to celebrate women in business. The flea market will see the presence of 13 local businesses where you can get your hands on a unique selection of fashion, beauty as well as art and lifestyle products.

Hotels like Shangri-La Singapore will also be rolling out a high tea promotion for the month of March to support the efforts of United Women Singapore (UWS) in advancing women’s empowerment and fostering gender equality. With each Inspire Inclusion high tea set or a Royal Lavender Earl Delight cake ($48 nett) sold, Shangri-La Singapore will donate $5 to UWS and the proceeds will support its UWS Girls Empowered Programme Programme through a combination of talks and hands-on workshops to equip young women from 12 to 25 years old with the skills, knowledge and confidence to overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential in all spheres of their lives.
