We’re down with the last two months of the year and Singapore is about to get a lot busier with a slew of events happening across the island, especially in November. With new restaurant menus, exciting pop-ups, store openings and more, you’ll never run out of activities to check out this month.

Things to do in Singapore this week: 25 November to 1 December
One Holland Village’s First Anniversary featuring South Korean R&B sensation, DEAN (29 November)
This Friday, 29 November, One Holland Village marks its first anniversary with a dazzling Season of Joy light-up event. The celebration includes the debut of a stunning Christmas tree inspired by the adorable minini theme, and appearances by special guests: South Korean R&B sensation DEAN and LINE Friends icons Brown and Cony. DEAN, renowned for his soulful hits like D (Half Moon) and Instagram, will treat fans to a live performance of his popular tracks.
But the festivities don’t end there. Stroll through the Christmas market, featuring unique gifts from social enterprises and local brands. Plus, LINE Friends fans can collect charming blind box keychains dressed in festive attire and there will also be rare secret edition keychains hidden among the designs too.

Carnival of Festive Cheer at CapitaLand Malls (6 November to 31 December)
From 6 November to 31 December, 17 CapitaLand malls will be buzzing with Asia’s first-ever chocolate and coffee-themed Christmas carnival, brought to life in collaboration with Nestlé.
At these malls, visitors can take selfies with the jolly KITKAT® Santa, participate in social media contests, and compete for delicious prizes while indulging in seasonal treats. Highlights include creamy NESCAFÉ® Affogatos, velvety KITKAT® Hot Cocoa, and rich Nespresso Chocolate Cappuccinos at the Brew-tiful Bars. Resurrack Vintage Market
Bugis Street has long been a go-to destination in Singapore for affordable souvenirs, trendy accessories, stylish clothes, and cosmetics. Now, it’s stepping up its game with a weekend-only vintage marketplace, offering a treasure trove of unique vintage finds, curated pieces, and handcrafted jewellery and accessories. To top it off, the market comes alive in the evenings with live performances by local artists from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Harry Potter: Visions of Magic (From 22 November)
Potterheads, this one’s for you! The long-awaited Harry Potter: Visions of Magic interactive art exhibition will be opening its doors this Friday, 22 November. At the exhibition, fans will be treated to 10 exciting and immersive spaces that will transport you to the wizarding world of magic. Inspired by some of the most iconic scenes from Harry Potter including two never-before-seen environments, like The Chamber of Secrets and The Trap Door. Cast your spells with your interactive wands and watch as the world of magic unravels before you. At the end of exhibit, be sure to swing by the retail store to grab some Harry Potter merch like their mystery wand boxes, or head straight to the Butterbeer bar to grab a cold one before ending your experience.

Sentosa GrillFest (14 to 17 November, 22 to 24 November, 29 November to 1 December, 6 to 8 December)
Have a grilling good time at Sentosa’s long-awaited GrillFest. Now in its seventh edition, this event invites food lovers to indulge in a delicious spread of local and international cuisine across four unique zones. Enjoy live performances including live DJ sets and exciting fire show performances under the stars, or make it extra special by booking a private teepee for an exclusive full-course dining experience.

Opening of Beyond The Vines @ New Bahru
Beyond The Vines has just opened its doors to its new store in New Bahru. Here, at the Beyond The Vines Design House that spans 3,800 square foot, you’ll find the brand’s latest customisation line alongside its full range of signature collections, including bags, ready-to-wear pieces, lifestyle items, accessories, and even a dedicated kids’ section. At the opening, we also got a closer look at the Crunch Carryall Series that recently just dropped in-stores which features new colours, added compartments and functions that are perfect, especially for travellers or those who are always on the go. Fans can also get their hands on some limited-edition keychains at the store including customising their own BTV Key Tags by selecting lettered key tags to hook onto their bags

Ralph Lauren’s Holiday Takeover at Jewel Changi Airport
This festive season, Ralph Lauren is teaming up with Jewel Changi Airport for its exclusive holiday takeover. At the centre of the Forest Valley, stands the 16-meter-tall tree along with a winter alpine lodge, set against the Jewel Rain Vortex. As part of the festivities, guests can customise their own postcards with images of themselves or their loved ones and get them printed in-store as a personal keepsake, or up the ante by personalising their own polo apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, water bottles and more with custom embroidery and monogramming.
The Holiday Postcard Printing Kiosk will be available from now till 31 December, while the Polo Custom Shop Pop-Up will be available from now till 16 February 2025.

Opening of The Pineapple Room
The Pineapple Room has officially opened at Capella Singapore. Paying homage to The Living Room, which was once an intimate social space for The Royal Artillery and their loved ones to enjoy tea parties, the bar boasts a tranquil and inviting atmosphere for guests to unwind and socialise while indulging in delicious tipples.
Speaking of drinks, The Pineapple Room offers a curated selection of cocktails inspired by Singapore’s vibrant cultural tapestry. Among the standout cocktails we tried are pineapple-based creations like the Scarlet Rouge, and the bar’s signature drink, the Triple P — a bold, spirit-forward blend with reposado, lime, agave nectar, orange bitters, and a hint of chilli salt.
If you’re feeling a bit peckish, their bar bites make the perfect pairing. Highlights include the pan-fried Hokkaido scallops and the salted egg yolk octopus—both must-try dishes.
Along with pool and foosball, the bar has its own bespoke card game called ‘Room for Conversation’. True to its name, the game offers an engaging way to break the ice or dive into thought-provoking questions, sparking hours of meaningful conversation.

The World of Studio Ghibli (4 October 2024 to 2 February 2025)
Step into the World of Studio Ghibli at ArtScience Museum. Immerse yourself in the magical worlds of Studio Ghibli, where your favourite characters from films like My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004), come to life.
The main highlights of the event include 16 large-scale theatrical sets that will transport visitors into iconic scenes of the movies – from waiting in the rain with Totoro and entering Howl’s Moving Castle to hopping on a train with No-Face. With interactive art installations and hands-on activities, you’ll not only experience the magic of these films but also dive deeper into the creative genius behind Studio Ghibli’s extraordinary characters and stories.
But that’s not all. At the end of the exhibition, fans can also check out the retail shop to get their hands on exclusive Studio Ghibli merch that’s designed specifically for this exhibition at the ArtScience Museum.

Illumi Singapore (13 September to 8 December)
The world’s largest light, sound, and multimedia event of its kind, illuma Singapore is set to dazzle Singapore from 13 September. Held at the Bayfront Event Space, the night event will feature a slew of larger-than-life structures and innovative light installations including a winter wonderland-inspired zone called Wall of Lights, and adorable spaces like the Puppies and Kitties, a themed world that will see over 200 illuminated animal structures.
Speaking of pets, starting on October 13, for every second Sunday of the month, event-goers can also bring their furry friends to the event!

Monday’s Made store opening
Looking for a timeless piece of jewellery for your loved one without burning a hole in your wardrobe? Monday’s Made, the latest homegrown jewellery brand in the market has just set up its brick-and-mortar store at The Centrepoint. While their jewellery pieces are undoubtedly beautiful on their own, you can tell that they have put a lot of thought into creating some of the most creative pieces you’ll find here. Boutique Fairs: The Gifting Edition 2024 (22 to 24 November)
Boutique Fairs 2024 returns for its holiday edition this weekend, from the 22nd to 24th November. For its ‘Gifting Edition’, the event is set to bring together the finest independent brands, artisans and designers — offering shoppers the opportunity to shop for meaningful gifts for their loved ones. Fashion labels like Slowstitch Studio from Chiang Mai, Thailand and independent Malaysian apparel label ANNABU will be setting up their shops at the event, while other brands like Friday’s Garden and Decibelist, will be offering their unique homeware pieces that are perfect for gifting, especially for new homeowners. Aside from that, there will also be a variety of options such as food, beauty, and parenting products, making it the perfect shopping spot for everyone, whether you’re getting it for yourself or someone else.

Apple Camp: Create an Interactive Story of Kindness (15 November)
The school holidays are finally here and if you’re looking for a new activity for your little ones to enjoy this month, check out Apple’s upcoming programme. The workshop invites kids aged (6 to 10 years old) and their families for a fun-filled and educational experience where they will get to learn how to create their own interactive interactive storybook on the iPad. During the programme, they will also get to draw, record sounds, add fun 3D shapes and more as they dive into the world of creative storytelling. Sessions start from Friday 15 November and will run throughout the school holidays.

The Witches Road pop-up (2 to 14 November)
Inspired by Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along, this new pop-up by Disney+ offers fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spell-binding world seen in the series and follow in the coven’s footsteps. Armed with a personal “Darkhold Book,” visitors can explore a range of magical experiences at different stations. From tarot card readings and aura paintings to potion crafting and spell casting, the pop-up is filled with activities designed to help you tap into your inner witch and uncover your own mystical powers.

Aperol Spritz N’ Beats (16 November)
Nothing beats a cold glass of Aperol Spritz to cool you off from the sweltering heat in Singapore. Following the success of its first edition, Aperol will be hosting its Spritz N’ Beats party at Ce La Vi for a one-day-only event on November 16. Guests can indulge in the iconic summer drink for just $20 and try their hands on some of the interactive games they have lined up for you. To make the party a little more special, there will also be a curated music line-up by rising local DJs, who will be dishing out some tunes for you to groove along to while you soak up the lively atmosphere.

Singapore Writers Festival (8 to 17 November)
Singapore Writers Festival returns for its 27th edition from 8 to 17 November 2024. This year’s festival, presented by Arts House Limited and the National Arts Council, invites audiences to explore the theme “In Our Nature.” Through over 200 programs and 300 international and local speakers, the festival delves into what it means to be human and how we relate to the natural world. At the event, which spans the next two weeks, you can expect inspiring events that blend literature with other disciplines, fostering creativity and encouraging cross-generational and multilingual conversations.

Ice Cream Sundays Presents: Dita & Gero (16 November)
Ice Cream Sundays will be ending the year on a high note with its final party on November 16. Returning to the Culture Courtyard at Haw Par Villa, the Singapore-based party collective is set to host two of Bali’s most exciting DJs—Dita and Gero—for a memorable bash.
As resident DJs at Potato Head Bali, the duo will take guests on a unique musical journey through their eclectic sets, featuring a mix of proto-house, disco, ’90s breaks, and Balearic tunes. Besides helming the decks, Gero will also be bringing something special to the event—his nasi goreng eatery, Nasgero, which will make its Singapore debut as an onsite food pop-up. This beloved Bali spot, which gained a following during the COVID-19 pandemic, is well-loved for its creative twist on the classic dish.

Affordable Art Fair (7 to 10 November)
Bring a piece of art home at the Affordable Art Fair that’s returning to Singapore for its 15th edition from 7 to 10 November. Held at the F1 Pit Building, the event will showcase some of the most brilliant pieces from over 80 galleries from around the world. Otherwise known as Singapore’s longest-running international art fair, this event makes for the perfect spot for art lovers to gather and find pieces to take home, making art more accessible than ever. As part of its lineup, you can attend the Arty-Licious Evening, an after-work event designed for art enthusiasts who love to mingle or participate in workshops like the Talking Textiles’ Original Handmade Print Stamp Rally, an exclusive 15th-anniversary experience that allows you to design your own mini artwork by layering different stamps, mimicking the colour separation process used in silkscreen printing.
There will also be a slew of other activities at the event including dynamic art installations and live artist performances as well as activities for your little ones by Art Wonderland and Republic Polytechnic.
A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will also be donated to the Caregiving Welfare Association.

Singapore Coffee Week (31 October to 3 November)
Can’t live without your daily brew? Launched by the Singapore Coffee Association, coffee lovers will be in for a treat as the first-ever Singapore Coffee Week will be making its debut from 31 October to 3 November at Plaza Singapura this weekend.
This immersive experience will include opportunities for guests to taste and discover local coffee products such as coffee beans, drip bags, machines and more from brands like Tanamera Coffee, Huggs Coffee, and Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee. There will be masterclasses hosted by professional baristas who will guide you through different techniques from harvesting to processing and brewing.
Some of the participating baristas at the event will also be putting their talents on display as they fight to earn a spot to represent Singapore at the ASEAN Barista Team Championship 2025. If you’re looking for an extra dose of excitement, don’t miss out on the exclusive Dalla Corte Espresso Championship and the De’Longhi Home Barista Throwdown.

Hennessy X.O La Carafe launch party (31 October and 16 November)
The world-renowned cognac brand, Hennessy has just launched its latest creation, the Hennessy X.O La Carafe. Accompanying its grand design is an even grander celebration, as the brand will take over key party hotspots, including Have Fun Live Show (on 31 October) and Zouk Singapore (on 16 November). The events will feature a specially choreographed serving ritual designed to redefine the drinking experience. For the curious, the ritual involves the bottle arriving at the table surrounded by dramatic lighting, creating the illusion of a ring of fire.
