Weekend recap

Lovely weekend. Lovely.

Got to hear about all the first shift people getting out at noon, or three, or whatever. I was stuck at work until 10:00 pm on the dot. Got home and finished a painting (check the commissions page). Headed to bed early to dream of zombies yet again.

Up early as hell without an alarm on Saturday. 7:30. Worked on motorcycles until roughly 2 pm.

Headed into Allston to catch Allston Vs. Quincy wiffleball game. Played a couple innings in cowboy boots without rolling an ankle.

From the game Jenny and I took the bike way down Rt 2 a couple hours to Hubbardston to hang with our married friends at the bride’s parent’s house. We grilled, we laughed, we drove golfballs towards Mt. Monadnock from their front yard. Thanks, Tony and Judy (her parents) for being awesome. We sat around at their dining room table eating the grillables and we started talking about the painting of Tony I did for them which was hanging in the same room (also in the commissions page). When asked how I got it done so quick I told Judy “I dunno, Tony’s just so hot.” I don’t think most people’s parents would laugh heartily at that. I was in good company.

Sunday was riding and grilling and finally showering and karaoke and girls drinking tequila and getting ridiculous with cameras. The bar was swamped with everyone and their drunk mother. I stayed for a few minutes and slipped out the side door so I could get back to the house unnoticed. A couple of said girls:

Monday was spent picking up the old Triumph I talked about a while ago (more on that tomorrow). After lugging the heavier-than-I-thought bike into the driveway I headed down the street to my buddy’s house to check out the batting cage he and his roomate built in his backyard. Nuts. I think they managed to get it done, a seventy foot batting cage built, for just under a grand.

Later in the afternoon rode down to Nantasket to spy women folk with my buddy Bobby on our bikes. We were a bit too late. I think it being a school night was bad for the cause.

Back to work now. Hope everyone’s weekend ruled. I haven’t heard any bad stories yet.

Oh and how could I forget… Sunday night I picked up the Barcelona cathedral again after a long hiatus. I was ready to give up on it to be honest, but my roomate Anthony and Jenny convinced me I’d be stupid to not keep at it.

We’re so happy you and Jenny made it out to Hubbardston.
Hope you both come back this summer for outdoor movie night (we’ll spray for mosquitos first).
Oh, and our new best friend is Basil Hayden. Awesome.
