The ultimate Prince Charming

2/11

Park Bo Gum made himself a bona fide household name with his role as Crown Prince Lee Yeoung in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds. He was a tender and sensitive man who only had eyes for his lover, yet was a firm prince determined to bring change and do what was right for his country. What a keeper. He's got the moves

3/11

Park Bo Gum is a fine dancer – mighty fine, if we might add. If you haven’t seen him dancing to “Bombastic” in the teaser for Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, you’re missing out big time. The video of him goofing off and swiveling his hips naturally went viral: Watch him bust a move at www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKalIVv3Z24 – you’re welcome! Photo: actorparkbogum/ Instagram

Dazzling smile

4/11

Of course, one of the top reasons we love Park Bo Gum is his big and bright smile – it instantly melts all our troubles away. Photo: park_bogum_my_love/ Instagram

He’s got the voice too

5/11

Seriously, what can Park Bo Gum not do? His deep, soothing voice (case in point: The OST in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) only makes him more swoon-worthy in our books. Interestingly, he actually wanted to be a singer-songwriter prior to making it big as an actor, even going so far as to send videos of himself singing and playing the piano to several talent agencies. He snagged some offers, but changed his career path as he was advised he would do well in acting. Photo: bgstar0616/ Instagram

Puppy-like innocence

6/11

If you watched Reply 1988, you’ll know it’s impossible not to fall for the adorable Choi Taek, a genius Go player who is mostly quiet and struggles with the simplest of daily tasks. In this role that arguably catapulted him to fame, Park Bo Gum captured our hearts with his innocence and naivety – he’s so precious, we just want to protect him. Photo: lemonadedrama/ Instagram

Bromance

7/11

What’s better than eye candy? Two servings of eye candy, of course, and with a beautiful bromance to boot. Park Bo Gum is known to be buddies with fellow actor Song Joong Ki, who has appeared at his fan meets more than once. (Fingers crossed the same happens for Bo Gum’s fan meet here!) Bo Gum regularly seeks acting advice from Joong Ki, most recently for his first sageuk (or historical) role in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds. How sweet. Photo: sujeong3579/ Instagram

He's kind and polite

8/11

With the many first-hand accounts of of Park Bo Gum’s respectable behaviour and good manners, it’s no wonder he’s been dubbed the “national man of good influence”. For instance, when he was travelling to Africa for reality show Youth Over Flowers and missed his flight, he made sure to take care of the filming crew first. Thank you, Bogummy, for inspiring us to be the best version of ourselves! Photo: bogum_bowie/ Instagram

He channels the psychopathic serial killer effortlessly

9/11

Park Bo Gum is such a versatile actor, he actually sent a chill down our spines in his role as a serial killer in I Remember You, also known as Hello Monster. Despite his bright and positive image, he put up an outstanding performance with split-second changes of expression. Oh, how our hearts ached for the child-at-heart who only wanted his elder brother’s acknowledgement. Photo: jyun_17/ Instagram

He’s a great model

10/11

Park Bo Gum may be boyish and all, but once he’s in his element as a model, he exudes a manly charm that’s simply irresistible. Slay, Bogummy, slay. Photo: parkbogum_koymindalee/ Instagram

He's super humble

11/11

Park Bo Gum is never once complacent about his achievements, and is always very thankful for all the love he has received from his followers. He tends to be visibly overwhelmed by his fans’ love and is often brought to tears at fan meetings, where he profusely thanks them for their support. He also enjoys taking the subway, and sees no issue with it as it’s always punctual. Way to go for keepin’ it real! Photo: parkbogum_baby/ Instagram
