Between your busy home life and your busy work life, sometimes that last thing you want is to have to select between spending an hour doing the ironing or lazing on the couch with your fave Korean drama on. And if the latter usually wins, we won’t judge you.

Few people find joy in the hassle of having to iron a massive pile of laundry, and just having to spend hours each weekend doing that rather than resting makes you almost wish the fashion industry would invent a wonder fabric that self-irons on its own.

Well take a little bit of cheer, because we’re going to break you into a little secret: there are fabrics that require little to no ironing at all!

Keep a look out for anything knitted, or made with lyocell, rayon, cotton blends, denim, or spandex as these fabrics are generally crease-resistant. Laces are great as well, because the busy needlework will help hide obvious creases. If you find that it needs a light iron, then remember this trick: run a hot shower, hang the dress up where the steam rises, and allow it to straighten on its own.
